BC Pay Transparency Report

Pay Transparency Report only includes British Columbia-based employees and covers Jan 1, 2025 - Dec 31, 2025.

The report represents 48% of our workforce, with 229 employees. Of these, 136 self-identify as female, and 93 self-identify as male.

Employee Distribution

Who was included?
  • More than 50% of our employees are not based in British Columbia and are not included in this report.
What did the report say?
  • In British Columbia, females are highly represented in the organization's entry-level positions, and males are more represented in higher-paying roles.
    • Entry-level customer care and retail positions are more predominantly held by individuals who self-identify as female.
    • Technical roles (Software, IT, Product Management) are predominantly held by individuals who self-identify as male. Based on a combination of education and experience, and being market competitive, these are higher-paying roles.
    • Higher-compensation Senior Leadership Team positions are slightly more held by males in BC; with 3 male VPs and 2 female VPs.

Process

When calculating pay gaps, we must use the BC Statutory Methodology:

Mean: Total hourly pay of all employees in category, divided by the total number of employees in category.

Median: All employees in category are listed lowest to highest. The middle number (or the average between the middle two numbers) is the median.

The BC Statutory methodology does not account for:
  • Different job levels
  • Function
  • Performance
  • Experience
Because of this, we also analyzed the data using a more granular methodology that focuses on comparing pay for people in the same roles, reviewing Job "A" Hourly Rate = Job "A" Hourly Rate.

Pay Differences

Same role different pay?
  • We identified a small number of roles where a pay gap existed that was not explainable by factors such as education, experience or performance ratings.
What did we do?
  • For those individuals, we have either adjusted their pay to completely remove gender pay gaps or minimized the difference as much as possible.
